Jeiteles (Jeitteles), Ignaz

(1783-1843)
   Bohemian writer, son of Baruch Jeiteles. He studied law at Prague University before moving to Vienna, where he worked as a merchant. With his cousin Alois Jeiteles he published the short-lived Jewish periodical Siona in 1819. He wrote studies of liter-ature, philosophy, history and statistics as well as poetry.
